Our Mission

What makes us who we are

At Cornerstone Endodontics, we are passionate about providing exceptional
endodontic care in a comfortable and compassionate environment. Our mission
is to listen attentively to our patients’ needs and concerns, and to create
personalized treatment plans that prioritize their comfort, health, and well-
being. We strive to exceed expectations by utilizing state-of-the-art technology,
staying up to date with the latest techniques such as CBCT imaging, laser
irrigation and maintaining open communication with our patients throughout
their entire treatment process.

Above all, we are committed to fostering an atmosphere of excellence,
kindness, respect, and care, where our patients feel supported and valued every
step of the way.

Dr. John Collier, D.M.D

Dr. Collier is a native of Ozark, Alabama. He graduated from Samford University in 1991 with a B.S. in Chemistry. He then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry in 1995. Dr. Collier graduated with the Operative Award for excellence in operative dentistry and then completed his endodontic postgraduate degree at the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry in 1997.

Dr. Collier is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, the Southern Endodontic Study Group and the American Dental Association. He is involved in the Birmingham District Dental Society, the UA School of Dentistry Alumni Association. He has served as part time instructor at the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry department of Endodontics. Dr. Collier enjoys spending time with his wife Julie and three children, John Jr., Katherine, and Elizabeth. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and exercising. He attends Shades Mountain Baptist.

Dr. Kevin Duque, D.M.D

Dr. Duque is a native of Enterprise, Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 2014 with honors earning a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration, and again in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in 2020. Dr. Duque graduated with honors and received The American Association of Endodontists Student Achievement Award, the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Periodontics, The American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Achievement Award, and the American Academy of Oral Medicine Student Achievement Award.

Dr. Duque completed his General Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2021. He then completed his endodontic postgraduate degree at NYU Langone in 2023. In addition to mastering the art of root canals during his residency, Dr. Duque also trained in endodontic microsurgery. Dr. Duque enjoys fishing, soccer, and traveling. He and his fiancé, Alyssa, are members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa.
